Who is Dean Phillips?

Dean Benson Phillips (born January 20, 1969) is an American businessman and politician who has served as the U.S. Representative from Minnesota's 3rd congressional district since 2019.

In July 2023, it was reported that Phillips was considering challenging President Joe Biden in the 2024 Democratic presidential primaries. He officially announced his candidacy on October 26, 2023. On March 6, 2024, Phillips suspended his campaign following Super Tuesday.
